| We
are Judy Estey and Kathryn Mackensen.
Each
of us has over 20 years experience coaching individuals
and groups to communicate persuasively in a sound bite
world.
Over the years,
we’ve found people talk too much – they ramble and lose
their focus and the interest of the audience. Experts agree you
have 30 seconds to make a point. How best to do that?
Demonstrate your expertise through examples and anecdotes.

|
| Before
you’ve had a chance to start your pitch to
a potential client, you are asked the one question
you were dreading to hear -- and are
unprepared to answer.
What do you do?
It
happens all the time. We tell ourselves if we don't
think about this question, it won't be asked. Big
mistake, especially during the critical Q&A
time when chemistry with the audience rules and
being prepared is essential. You should be able
to anticipate most of the questions you will
receive. Practice answering them. Prepare for the
worst and everything else will seem easier. Have
an answer for the dreaded question because it will
likely be asked. |

For
instance, if someone asked us what differentiates Estey Mackensen
as communication coaches, we certainly could say we are experienced,
we have a proven track record, clients love us, we’re fun
and we get results. Sound familiar? An OK answer but it could be
more powerful and lasting by demonstrating our expertise
with a specific client example.
What did we do? How did we do it? What were the results? How does
this relate to the audience?
Let us help you focus YOUR message.
